Upper School Overview
Welcome to the Upper School of Homefield Prep where we deliver an outstanding quality of education for boys aged 7-13 years old (Years 3 to 8), building on the strong academic and pastoral foundations laid out in our Lower School.
All of our senior boys benefit from specialist teachers for all of their lessons who challenge them to fulfil their potential in every subject. Many of our senior faculty have a background in teaching to GCSE and A-level standard. Our curriculum is designed to develop our boys as individuals, thoroughly preparing them for examinations to a wide range of senior schools - our successful approach is reflected in the fact that so many of our boys are awarded scholarships to some of the best senior schools in the country. Each year our boys are awarded offers to the very best Independent and State Grammar schools in London and Surrey.
In addition to nurturing the academic development of our boys, we also have an extensive extra-curricular provision which encourages the boys to develop a range of talents. Activities range from Chinese, Chess, LAMDA to Chamber Choir, Jazz Orchestra, Squash, Judo and Karate.
We fully support the boys as they develop the self confidence to take on positions of responsibility, developing them into potential future leaders. We are very proud of their achievements and encourage them to make the very most of every opportunity offered to them during their time at Homefield Prep.
