Introduction to Play-Based Learning

We believe that play is the cornerstone of early childhood education. Our curriculum emphasises hands-on, experiential learning through play-based activities that stimulate curiosity, creativity, and critical thinking skills.

Holistic Development

We recognise the importance of addressing the holistic development of each child. Our curriculum encompasses cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development, ensuring that every aspect of a boy’s growth is nurtured and supported.

Balanced Curriculum

We design our curriculum based on our understanding of the most effective learning methods for boys. Each half term centres on mastering a key skill, with a priority on physical development. Our curriculum design adheres to the Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum.

Multisensory Experiences

We believe in engaging all of the senses to enhance learning experiences. Our curriculum incorporates a variety of multisensory activities, including art, music, movement, and sensory exploration, allowing children to fully immerse themselves in their learning journey.

Individualised Learning

We recognise that each boy is unique, with their own strengths, interests, and learning styles. Our curriculum is designed to be flexible and adaptable, allowing teachers to tailor activities and experiences to meet the individual needs of each child.

Outdoor Learning

We believe in the importance of connecting with nature and the outdoors. Our curriculum includes regular outdoor exploration and nature-based activities, providing children with opportunities to develop a deeper appreciation for the natural world.

Parental Involvement

We value the partnership between home and school in supporting boys’ learning and development. Our curriculum encourages ongoing communication and collaboration with parents, providing opportunities for families to actively participate in their son’s educational journey.

Assessment & Reflection

We understand the importance of ongoing assessment and reflection to inform teaching practices and support boys’ progress. Our curriculum incorporates observation, documentation, and reflection to continuously monitor and evaluate each boy’s growth and development.
